OUT APRIL 19TH VIA CADENCE RECORDINGS
NEW SINGLE “CRYIN'” OUT NOW
(Toronto, ON – March 8, 2019) – Joey Landreth blew fans away with his debut solo album Whiskey, and today he’s excited to share that his anticipated sophomore album Hindsight will be out on April 19th via Cadence Recordings.
The album features previously released singles “Forgiveness” and “Dangerous Heart,” and today he reveals “Cryin.'” Reflecting on the track, Joey says, “We all have that friend who just can’t seem to stay away from the bad apples. “Cryin” is the intervention set to music.” Watch the live version here.
Joey teamed up with rising star and talented multi-instrumentalist, Roman Clarke to produce Hindsight. Recorded over the course of a year between Lincoln Country Social Club Studio in Toronto, and Stereobus Recording in Winnipeg, the music found on Hindsight is not a radical departure; it’s simply a broadening of horizons and an exercise in personal and creative growth. Explaining the album, Joey says, “Hindsight is a collection of songs that explore ideas about learning from mistakes, letting go, forgiving and growing up. And heartbreak. It wouldn’t be a Landrethendeavor without some heartbreak.”
Eager to hit the road with this new material, Joey is thrilled to have Roman and other world-class musicians joining him for much of the upcoming album release touring, which includes solo and band dates all over the UK, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Canada, and the USA. See below for list of upcoming tour dates.
Joey Landreth’s music has taken him around the world many times. His break-out project as one half of JUNO Award winning roots-rockers The Bros. Landreth, took a short break after their acclaimed album Let It Lie kept them on the road for four years. The time-off afforded Joey the opportunity to tackle new creative challenge, and in 2017, he released his debut solo album Whiskey. Whiskey was an extension of The Bros. Landreth’s brand of eclectic, lush, and deeply meaningful songs, but accentuated and amplified by Joey Landreth’s dynamic guitar stylings. Guitar stylings that have been celebrated by the likes of Premiere Guitar, That Pedal Show, and Guitarist Magazine. The album and subsequent touring earned rave reviews from critics and fans, showcasing Joey Landreth as a songwriter, vocalist, musician, and performer in his own right.
