TORONTO, ON – November 15, 2019 – Indie-electronic duo HOFFEY return with their dreamy pop single “Holiday”, released via Physical Presents. Listen HERE
The track produced by David Balshaw and Bubele Booi, who most notably produced Beyonce’s single “Find Your Way Back”, is a bleak look with a positive twist of what it was like to live in an abysmal apartment for a year. The duo explains, “‘Holiday’ is a song most people can relate to – where you’ve been working at the same job, doing the same shit every day – to the point where you might lose your mind. This song is really about taking that dream vacation, so you can feel refreshed, renewed, and be a better version of yourself.”
There is a fire central to HOFFEY’s sound and it is fueled by passion and synergy. The duo consists of married couple Jordan and Erika Toohey. “Holiday” comes after HOFFEY’s critically acclaimed singles, “Love Is Wild” and most recent 2019 summer single “Alive”. While the singles are defined as electronic pop in genre, many of them have a healthy blend of singer-songwriter and R&B components; Most, revolving around sensuality and the intensity life offers. They provide a sonic, vivid portrait of a feeling that is often hard to describe; it’s a fuzzy, desirous kind of passion that not only leaves you dizzy, out of breath, out of your mind, but always wanting more.
